Helpful Keyboard Shortcuts
Since I am a web developer, I am constantly using my keyboard to get my applications finished on time with little to no errors. Now I cant continually use my mouse to copy, paste, undo, or get straight to my desktop I had to adapt. They way that I accomplished this was by learning a few keyboard short cuts and believe they help a whole lot. Now these short cuts that I am about to show you are for PC users.
- Ctrl + C - copy text or images that you have selected.
- Ctrl + X - cut an item(s) that you have selected.
- Ctrl + V - paste the items that you have just copied or cut.
- Ctrl + S - save a document.
- Ctrl + Z - undo an action.
- Ctrl + P - print a document that you have opened.
The Windows Key is the key that looked like the Window logo can be used to accomplish a lot of short cuts.
- Windows + D - will get you straight to your desktop.
- Windows + R - will open your run promote.
- Windows + L - will lock your computer.
- Window + M - will minimize your windows.
One of the most common short cut keys that I find people using in the office is Alt + Ctrl + Del. This short cut will allow you to quickly log out, lock your computer, shut down, or investigate what has frozen your computer (for the more knowledgeable PC user) you don’t want to end a task that really don’t know much about. Alt + Tab is a really useful short cut to fly through multiple items that you might have open.
I hope this has helped you out to become more knowledgeable in computer short cuts.
